Made a little noro bag for when I someday pick up my cleric again. Fast knit and despite learning a couple little new trips (double decrease & knit 1front & back) it was also an easy knit. I loved watching the noro colors work up, they never seem to knit up the way I expect but it's always pleasing anyways.
After my husband toted my bag to D&D night a member of our gathering requested my services for a bag of his own. Completed his in 2 days. The squircle was also a fast & easy knit. The increases for the bottom were a little troubling at first, but after those were past the project flew by. Again...love the noro yarn and how it works it's wonders.
The third bag is for my husband, or at least to temporarily hold him off until I can make him the voodoo head bag he has requested. I made this bag bigger than my first one, the first one worked well enough for the amount of dice we have but of course that is always increasing so bigger we go!
All about our knitting & cloth diapering journey, and anything else that might come up along the way!

Living up to a title
Honestly I haven't knit many pants since I've started knitting so I thought I needed to start living up to the name of my blog. Here are the starburst longies. I love how these turned out. My sister helped me dye some fisherman's wool when I was up for deer season.
We used the stove-top dye method for this skein and used orange, lemonade & black cherry flavored kool-aids. I love how this yarn came out, gorgeous, I just have to learn how to keep the vibrancy throughout the entire skein, you can see the fading into the legs.
I was worried about the yarn being too thin & too scratchy for longies but it knit up like other worsted I've used and they softened up after washing. The pattern was pretty easy to follow even though I had been intimidated when first looking through it. I thought the leg split would be a lot of trouble but it actually worked very well and turned out lovely. I had some issues with some increases, I followed the instructions to make them "invisible" but there are very noticeable holes. They don't affect the function of the longies but you just look at them and wonder why there are 3 little holes on each side of the thighs. I did the 2T sizing but probably could have gone down a size, they seem saggy in the crotch and long in the leg right now. I just cuff the leg and she can grow into them, just love making things for children!

Yuletide blessings!
Gifted a knit hat to my hubby for yule. His last hat wasn't quite warm & big enough. The bamboo yarn was too breathable & he had told me too late he had a big head. I expected the new hat to fit better, and it does, but still could be a little bigger. His head must be huge. He still loves it, and whats not to love? That alpaca is heaven! Hope to make him a matching scarf sometime...

packer pants
Finally finished the packer pants (green longies w/yellow & white trim). Took me forever because after I realized they were in fact packer pants i decided i didn't like them. Also I hate seaming, and for these i had to seam up both legs and the body area as well. Once I sat down and buckled in for it the seaming didn't take too long but it doesn't look to pretty. Apparently not only do I hate seaming but I suck at it. In the round for me!!! They will work, but they are slightly disappointing and not my fav. pair of longies.

Toggled it
So it has been quite a while since last post. Apologies, been preoccupied. Lots of holiday knitting happening here, and a completely absent husband (work & school oh my!) leaves me little time for sitting down at the computer. I'll start updating with the projects I've finished in my absence. To start it off my black deck case finally has a toggle. I was searching for a tarnished silver looking skull but the only place I found to shop for buttons was chain stores that didn't have any neat specifics. I settled for a wood toggle. Now the case finally functions as intended (I had to fish all the cards out of my husbands backpack).
